Being held captive in a dream: what does it mean?
A dream about the removal of the ability to leave, which is a different fear from being hurt and often a larger one.

Being trapped and unable to move overlaps with sleep paralysis, in which the body genuinely is immobilised during the transition out of sleep. That is common, harmless and much less frightening once somebody has explained it, and a great many people go years without being told.
