Pregnancy test in a dream: what does it mean?
The dream nearly always stops before the result, and dreamers report waking without knowing, which is the most commonly described version of this by some distance.
How do the four traditions read it?
Each reading below comes from a named tradition and a cited source, so you can see where it came from and decide what fits your dream. The four often disagree, and that is the point: a symbol rarely means one fixed thing, and the distance between Freud, Jung, modern research and myth tells you more than any single verdict could.
Freud
Freud would attend to the waiting rather than the result, since the dream has constructed a suspended moment and declined to resolve it, and would ask what else in the dreamer's life is in that state.

A Jungian reading would allow that this may not be about a child at all, since a test that reveals something already true is a very general image, and would take the dreamer's own reaction in the dream as the most reliable evidence.

Dreams about pregnancy and about tests are both commonly reported, and neither is predictive. A dream cannot tell you whether you are pregnant and no dream dictionary should suggest otherwise. If you are waiting on a real result and not sleeping, that is ordinary, and a doctor or a nurse will have heard the question many times.
