What does it mean to dream about reunion?
A reunion in a dream often reflects a wish to reconnect, to look back, or to weigh how you have changed alongside others from your past.
Four ways to read it
Each reading below comes from a named tradition and a cited source, so you can see where it came from and decide what fits your dream.
Freud
Freud would read a reunion as the return of old ties and the feelings bound up with them, both warm and uneasy. He might see a wish to recover what was lost, or a worry about being judged by those who knew the dreamer before. The dream brings the past into the room.

Jung might see a reunion as parts of the dreamer's history gathering, a chance to integrate who they were with who they are. The familiar faces can stand for stages of the self being brought together. He would ask what is being rejoined.
Jungian concept (our summary).Modern
Under the continuity view, reunion dreams often follow a coming gathering, memories of old friends, or thoughts about how life has turned out. The mind keeps comparing then and now. The mood is often a blend of fondness and unease.
Continuity hypothesis (our summary).Mythological
Many traditions held feasts and gatherings that drew scattered kin and community back together, marking the bonds that time and distance had stretched. Stories of long-parted people meeting again recur across cultures. The coming together was treated as a healing of what had been divided.
