What does it mean to dream about doubt?
Doubt in a dream often reflects uncertainty about a choice or about yourself, and what you were unsure of is usually the thread worth following.
Four ways to read it
Each reading below comes from a named tradition and a cited source, so you can see where it came from and decide what fits your dream.
Freud
Freud would read doubt as a sign of a conflict within, two wishes pulling against each other so that neither can settle. He held that uncertainty in a dream can mark where the mind is divided about what it wants. The hesitation may point to a struggle not yet resolved.
After Freud, The Interpretation of Dreams (Brill trans., 1913), public domain.Jung
Jung would see doubt as the psyche holding a tension between opposites, refusing a false certainty. He treated such uncertainty as part of an honest reckoning, the pause before a truer path appears. The hesitation can mark a question worth staying with.

Continuity research ties dream doubt to waking decisions and self-questioning the mind keeps working through. Some accounts suggest dreaming helps us weigh choices we have not settled. The uncertainty is best read against what you are unsure of now.
Continuity hypothesis (our summary).Mythological
Myth set its heroes before the doubtful crossroads, the choice between two roads or two fates. The Sphinx's riddle and the parting of the ways tested those who could not see clearly. Across cultures such tales held that doubt was the threshold before a true decision.
