What does it mean to dream about castle?

Freud would read the fortified building as the self defended, ambitions and pride made into stone. A castle can also stand for the body or for a person held in high regard. Note whether you are welcomed in or shut out.

Jung might see the castle as an image of the whole self, walls around a centre, the work of building a secure inner life. Its rooms can hold parts of you not yet explored. Ask what you are protecting and what you keep guarded.

Under the continuity view, a castle may reflect waking goals, a wish for status, safety, or a sense of having arrived. It can also picture defences you raise against others. Consider where you feel strong and where you feel walled in.
