What does it mean to dream about beach?
A beach often marks a meeting place between the known and the vast, the edge where solid ground gives way to feeling, change, or the unconscious.
Four ways to read it
Each reading below comes from a named tradition and a cited source, so you can see where it came from and decide what fits your dream.
Freud
Freud would read the shore as a border between the conscious mind and the deep, the sea standing for what is older and submerged. The mood of the tide may colour how that border feels.

Jung might see the beach as the threshold where the ego meets the unconscious, a place of contact rather than crossing. What you do at that edge, rest or step in, can be telling.
Jungian concept (our summary).Modern
The continuity view ties a beach to waking thoughts of rest, holidays, or transition between two states. The feeling of the scene, ease or unease, usually points to the concern behind it.
Continuity hypothesis (our summary).Mythological
The shore is a liminal place in many myths, where the sea-born goddess came to land and where mortals waited for what the tide might bring. Edges of land and water were held to be charged with meaning.
