What does it mean to dream about heaven?
Heaven often points to peace, hope, or relief, and sometimes to longing for comfort, reunion, or a sense that all is finally well.
Four ways to read it
Each reading below comes from a named tradition and a cited source, so you can see where it came from and decide what fits your dream.
Freud
Freud would read heaven as a wish for an end to all wanting, a return to perfect ease and protection. The longing for it can mark a present strain. Ask what comfort or release you are missing awake.

Jung might see heaven as an image of wholeness and reconciliation, the psyche at rest with itself. It can also appear in grief, as the mind reaches for meaning beyond loss. The dream may reflect a yearning for harmony.
Jungian concept (our summary).Modern
Under the continuity view, heaven often reflects waking thoughts about peace, faith, or someone you have lost. It can bring real comfort after sorrow. Notice the feeling it left you with on waking.
Continuity hypothesis (our summary).Mythological
Cultures across the world picture a blessed place beyond death, a garden, a city of light, an island of the ever young. It answers the wish for an end to suffering. The dream may carry that long human hope for a home past all trouble.
