What does it mean to dream about map?

Freud
Freud's approach would read the map as the wish to chart and master what is unknown, to bring order to a journey. A useless or muddled map can express anxiety about losing one's way.

Jung might see the map as a guide to the inner terrain, the attempt to make sense of the path of life. A map that will not match the ground can show that the old plan no longer fits.
